🎉 Welcome, Kimberley!
Congratulations to Kimberley Morey, LAC’s new Board Treasurer. We’re grateful to have her stepping into this important role and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together.
🖼️ July Exhibition: Mix It Up Media — A Celebration of Mixed Media
Opening First Friday: July 3, 5:00–7:30 PM | Free & Open to the Public
On view July 3–July 26
This July, the main gallery features four artists pushing boundaries with material and form: Elizabeth Brege, Jill Pierucci Bolakas, Elizabeth Farnsworth, and ceramic artist Nicole Burris. Whether you love paint, clay, collage, or something harder to name, this show has something to surprise you.
Come meet the artists at the First Friday opening — it’s free, it’s festive, and it’s a great reason to visit our club.
Lynchburg Art Club & Gallery, 1011 Rivermont Ave
Gallery Hours: Thursday–Friday 1–5 PM | Saturday–Sunday 1:30–4 PM
🌿 Members’ Gallery: Veronica DeLuze
The July Members' Gallery wall features the work of Veronica DeLuze, and the rest of the gallery is stocked with fresh work from LAC members. The best part? The Members' Gallery is always cash and carry. Come ready to find something you love and take it home that day!
Upcoming at the Gallery
Join us June 28 at 2 PM for our monthly membership meeting, then stay for a special presentation by Michael Dunaway — one of this year’s Show Your Best award recipients — as he shares his artistic journey. It’s an afternoon worth showing up for.

🖼️ Five Paintings Come Home
Thanks to our Permanent Collection Chair, Phil Carwile, conservation on our remaining five paintings by the Richmond Conservation Studio is now complete. They’re back where they belong — look for them displayed in the hallway gallery on your next visit.
🎪 Lynchburg Art Festival — Registration is Live!
Artist registration for the 53rd Annual Lynchburg Art Festival is now open! This year we’ve added Emerging Artist spaces — both under tents and along the fence — and redesigned the layout so every spot has visibility. No one gets stuck behind an empty wall of fence this year.
Whether you’re a seasoned exhibitor or showing publicly for the first time, there’s a place for you.

🧒 New: Kids’ Art Club
We’re launching a monthly Art Club for students in grades 3–5 (ages 8–11), sponsored by the 7 Hills Art Club and the Lynchburg Art Club & Gallery.
First meeting: Saturday, June 28 at 2:00 PM
Each session is one hour, on the last Sunday of the month. If you know a kid who loves art, send them our way.

Do you teach? Have a workshop concept you’ve been sitting on? We want to hear from you.
We’re building out our workshop calendar and inviting members and instructors to submit proposals — including your topic, format, pricing, supply needs, and scheduling preferences. The board will review submissions and select workshops to fund and schedule.

🤝 Membership
May was renewal month, and we’re still welcoming returning members back. If you’ve been away from the club, now is a great time to reconnect.
